Service ContractsKMIS's auto dealership Service Contract program allows the auto dealership to take an ownership role in the service contracts it sells. Dealerships are already doing most of the work in a service contract program, and KMIS enables the dealership to control and own its own program.
30-Day Insurance Binder Program
If a customer does not have proof of insurance at the time of vehicle purchase, Knight offers an on-the-spot 30-day binder program that most finance companies will accept as collateral in order to fund the deal. This enables dealerships to do more business by preventing customers from walking away to shop for coverage. This coverage is instantly available at the point of sale through DealerCenter, an on-line F&I resource for the used car dealership.

Dealer-Owned Reinsurance CompanyA key part of the KMIS service contract program is the dealer-owned reinsurance company. This is an offshore company that is authorized to do business with a U.S. admitted insurance company. Our admitted insurance partner is Marathon Insurance Company. The dealer-owned reinsurance company takes all the risk, and profit, derived from the service contract program.
Control of Service Contract Claims By controlling its own program, a dealership can direct more of its claims directly to is own service center. Given a proper incentive, the dealership's service manager can be motivated to reducing claims costs, resulting in more profit to the dealer-owned reinsurance company.
By utilizing the WarrantyKeeper.com service contract tracking system, the dealership will reduce the administrative costs associated with a service contract program.
WarrantyKeeper.com is an on-line service contract management program developed for the retail automobile industry. WarrantyKeeper.com enables the auto retailer to digitally submit service contracts sold at his dealership on a real-time basis, resulting in a faster payment of commissions and easier claims handling.
A dealer utilizing the WarrantyKeeper.com program uploads a digital image of the service contract application onto a website, which then transmits that information automatically to the service contract administrator and the insurance company. This program is light-years ahead of the traditional system of photocopying applications, handwriting application registers, and mailing them to the administrator. This results in greater efficiencies for the dealer, dealer-owned insurers, and third-party administrators. Back to top | |
